Y'know, never mind romantic-comedy anime chicks...these black-shelled buggers INVENTED Hammerspace(C). For some reason I didn't run across 'em too often during my Mario years, but some foes are just memorably frustrating.

Thank you! You could avoid most Hammer Bro. fights in SMB3, if you were careful.

I wasn't careful. I always chased them, and ended up, more often than not, with a thoroughly pummeled Luigi (being the younger sibling.)
