I am in a production of a short movie for my 2d animation graduation and... This is exactly the kind of texture/color I want for my animation background. Any tips for me to achieve this level of awesomeness? How do you work? Do you paint on line? Do you began in gray and add color? Do you use texture?
Do you give class? Do you give tips and background review? If yes, How do you charge!?

It is good as it is. I think you don't have to finish it. Sometimes it is better than strongly realistic pic, don't you think?

Das ist echt mega gut! Besonders die Stimmung hast du wirklich sehr schΓΆn eingefangen! WΓ€re cool, wenn das Schild noch etwas Schrift bekΓ€me, aber ansonsten wΓΌrd ich auch sagen, dass es fertig ist! Klasse Arbeit!

I would see a boy in the window, eating a bread and a little girl outside, watching it - she is hungry. It looks so warm in there... a little wind would make a nice cold effect. The picture and the title makes you create your own story.

yeah simmilar scenario was planned under the window a girl was sitting looking up to her brother sitting on the baldachin thingy.... who was reaching down to her with a loaf of stolen bread...

OMG. This is almost one of those drawings/paintings that make me feel very well and "warm" (sounds a little stupid, I know).
I think if you would finish it, it would be an amazing art.

I don't see why this should need any more work (except giving the tavern a name maybe). I think it works very well the way it is.
You may call it unfinished, but itβs really clean and detailed alreadyβ¦ oh, and I like the lighting!
