"Good-NIGHT Vinyl..."

Lets try actually doing this description thing!
I started this as a silly doodle, and after a fair bit of input from some awesome people it managed to grow into... well... This!

This was going to be the first in a series of prints, unfortunately it's a bit too small, but it was still a fun exploration into some different tools and techniques!

The background was probably the hardest as I had wanted a colour that would make the pair pop forward a lot more... Unfortunately it came down to relying on shading to separate them. Vinyl being yellow and blue made finding a decent background colour a bit of a challenge. Octavia herself is so neutral that she just made a hole in whatever I put behind them, so it had to come down to value rather hue. It still feels a little dark to me, I might pull it back later. But for now I'm quite happy with how this turned out.
