Description
For ~FossilizedArtIt was just supposed to be a quick bust, but she had arms and hips and a tail before I knew it. This the first time I've done a finished picture of one of his girls, too. I'm pleased with the way it came out.
Ink: Copic multiliner and various colored pens (Prismacolor, Marvy, and others)
Color: Copic and Tria marker. Minor use of gel pen and colored pencil
Paper: Sketchbook paper

Staci is still his intellectual property, you can't just take a character that belongs to someone else.

As long as I give credit to him in the places she appears, It should be okay. The JBs are so well-known that doing fan-art isn't much of a problem to him. Many people made fanart of his characters because he lets them. I can use her if I abide to the "Give Credit Where Credit Is Due" rule. It usually works.
I can let people use my characters to an extent. It's just no one got around to doing so yet.

Right, but "taking her" and making fanart are not the same thing.
The way you were putting it, it sounded like you were planning to steal the character just because he hasn't drawn her much. If that's not what you meant, then please be more careful about how you word things.
Keep in mind that Fossil and I are very close and I run the JB website with him, so generally I am speaking directly from his actual opinions.

Yes, it would be similar experiences with me, intending to just draw the head (Since that's the tricky part which needs practice) but I want to add in the body since that's the fun part to draw, and I have to say you've drawn the anatomy beautifully, the hips particularly
Also the colour work's awesome too with the shine and shadows

At some point I do need to draw Sol and Thorne baking together. I've already got an idea for it.

I'd like to take that as a compliment, but something tells me it's not that difficult to be better than poorly written fanfiction ;D
If only anything I did was truly interesting enough to warrant that sort of attention. One never knows what the future holds.

I guess it's a compliment like "you don't smell putrid" is one.
The kind of attention 50 shades has gotten is ok if you care about getting lots of money once and not being taken seriously for the rest of your career.
