MAH BEST SHADING EVA!!!!
YES I painted this!!!

This is what I imagine Sassy would look like in real life - a little darker, more natural colors

I was so blown away by what happened with Forgotten last night when I tried a new shading style that I just couldn't wait to get hands on Photoshop and try it again, only this time I practiced with the mane and tail to.

UNBELIEVABLE!

I just pray nobody thinks I stole it!!!! Artistic breakthroughs are supposed to happen over years, not over night...and then there's me XD Then again, I HAVE been drawing, coloring and painting horses for over five years...so I guess it's time plus I also thank God, because that is also me

LOL ok looks closely and you'll see that it actually sucks. The direction is terrible in the lines in the mane and tail and the shading on the body is horribly un-smooth. This is old lineart of mine so even the anatomy stinks (though it is a charming pose ) but, hey, this is only my second time to do it this way!

I first heard about using the dodge and burn tools in a youtube video (which I would credit if I could but I can't XD I dunno who it was!!!) But I never thought about using it for the body until I randomly tried it P.S. it may be the same tool, but I did this in an entirely different way than in the video, so I personally don't feel like I'm ripping anybody off, it's not like it was sitting there in front of me - I sat down and did this myself this morning at random.
