For noebelle of her beautiful boy Solao .Not sure where the background came from... i had no idea what i wanted and then started playing around in SAI to see if i could get a brush to look like ink......
ANYWAY

I miss my harpg characters too, but every time i try to draw them i never feel happy with the drawings. I have plans though to try and get back into my stable and get it active again.

im not sure if there is any way to transfer this across to PS..... but i made this to show the brush settings in SAI and how they shape the colour. Ink brushes

Gosh I've been thinking about getting SAI, it seems to be so much better for doing lineart than PS and it has so many amazing brushes! (Seriously I'd do a lot for a stabilizer in PS--it's the reason I do all my lines in pencil!)
These brushes are amazing though, that texture you've given them is so convincing!

I love SAI so i would recommend getting it (even if it is for just a little playing around to see if t suits you). I had it for over a year and didnt really click with it at first, but my old computer started to die and any attempt to even open photoshop lead to it crashing so i was stuck with using SAI and the more i used it the more i loved it.
PS has a lot more brush customization and layer filter options, but the way SAI blends and adds texture to the brushes is really fun to work with. I tend to swap a lot of my images between the two programs during my working process as i love certain aspects of each one for certain parts.
