Oh well, my first time submitting art here X3. It isn't the best art ever, but I'm a beginner and I tried my best XP. I chose to draw Rarity because she's my favorite pony :3 Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy

Maybe a simple outside background-green grass, blue sky, some trees.
Or maybe she could be inside her home or her boutique.
It looks like she's either daydreaming or looking at something...if you decide what that is, maybe that could help give you an idea.

And remembe, while realistic looking backgrounds are nicer, if you need to, go ahead and do something simpler. The backgrounds on the show aren't that natural-looking, after all.
My point is, don't be discouraged.
