Description These are some of Bolivia's most common birds, also known as "hornero", or, to you gringos, ovenbirds. They're very confident little creatures, and fun to watch in the garden.

Hornero!

They're everywhere in Bs As and La Plata (I just came back from there). Very noisy though!

What a great colorful bird! I like the shot, but it's not as crisp as it should be in my opinion

Yeah, I know what you mean. My telephoto lens has been having problems shooting wide open recently, which I didn't realize when I took the picture...

we don't have those in Chile... the birds you see easily around here are sparrows, treiles [link] , bandurria [link] , tiuques [link] , and swallows

Haha, we have treiles and tiuques (know as pajaros and aves, respectfully ), but not bandurrias.

Me too! They're not too common here, but I see them flying over my house on occasion.

there's a couple of them that are always chillin on the little park in front of my house.. I haven't gotten the chance to photograph them with good light though, everytime the sun comes out the park gets filled up with little kids and the birds scape

Hahaha, I know that predicament. I was trying to photograph the suyubus (blue-grey tanagers) in my garden, and my little host brother would NOT go away and stop making noise, and eventually the whole family came over and had a party. I was so pissed off...
