We bought a morphsuit (fabric: lycra) in naviblue and painted the black parts with simple black fabric-colour (for dark fabrics). It was a torture, but we got it xD
I'll hope you'll understand me, 'cause my english is not good at all x'D

¿What type of material do you recommend me for the chest armor part instead of worbla? 
PD: Worbla is very expensive xD

You could use eva-foam and on the backside you must lay fabric and "paint" it with wood glue. (I hope I'll explain it good enough ><).
But there are so many tutorials in the www xD
You'll find something which helps ^^'

Hi,

sorry for not replying, we married and were on vacation.
Ok the base of the upper parts is craft foam wrapped in worbla (only the chest part and back part incl. backpack).
The base of the shoulders is only worbla. For the shouldes I made a cast form and heaten the worbla over it.
For the chest part I made 5 pieces. Each piece consists of one piece craft foam and two pieces worbla. You lay the craft foam piece between the two worbla pieces and heat them until the worbla pieces are glued together, then you can heat it again and bring it in the right form (you can heat it as often as you want to).
To glue the finished pieces together you must heat carefully the borders and put them together.
After you are finished you have some seams and gaps. For a smooth look I took acrylic.
After that you can paint it with acrilyc paint.
I hope you understand it xD.

Hey,
I'm Lina (Kamis wife) and I'll try to answer your questions x)

We bought the spandex, 'cause I'm not good enough in sewing elastic fabric ;-;
But I painted it (the black ornaments) by myself.
The dark grey pieces (or anthrazit) are made with worbla and we sprayed it.
The silver stones are made of a fine version of styrofoam and then we stringed it with silver fabric (satin).
