Description thought i would try taking some pics of the ring on a different background.
the veneer inlays are a little more visible. also all the flaws are more visible too this was definitely one of the worst soldering jobs i've ever done, plus i really overworked the sanding on the outer layer. if i try this again i will have to make it thicker with less width.

Well, I think it looks great! Lovely slightly satiny finish and great contrast of the cool metal against the warm wood tones of the inlay. I like the general proportions of the diameter and hight of the ring. Good balance there!

thank you it could have done with a couple of mm's taken off the sides, as it's a little restrictive when i bend my thumb. not so much that it's uncomfortable but it is noticeable.

the best thing about the size is that even though it's a large ring, it doesn't look or feel unwieldy compared to a lot of thumb rings i've seen for guys.
