Description The cunning deity of the Eldar Harlequins, Cegorach is the Laughing God who hides away in the webways and mocks Slaanesh with his clever escapes. He is the one to bring art of battles into the extreme, and when he dances, there is no distinction between the war and passionate art...
Let him entrance you with the beautiful dance of bloody war.

This is how I see him as the living god of the Eldar.
Background image is one of the coloured GW artworks I found while on Google. All credit belongs to the original artist/artist and GW.

I never saw him as a bad guy, in fact it seems like he's trying to make everybody smile to pull through these dark times, to bad the Eldar see it as just applying to themselves

The details on the weapons, personal effects, and attire are very good, the background is also very fitting, but you should definitely work on your hands and bodily proportions, the arms seem small in comparison with the rest of the body, his right leg is much longer than his other, and the fingers don't grip the weapons as well as they could. The thumb on the left hand gripping the sword seems to be much longer than it should be. Definitely work on Making your shoulders a tad bit larger to support a the head and give your arms a longer reach. But seriously keep up the good work with Eldar artifice, you really have a knack for their jewelry and clothes

Thank you for the advices. Although this is a rather old picture and my style has changed a lot ever since, I will keep your given tips in mind since I know I have difficulties with the body proportions at times. I haven't drawn much Eldar lately, but I have few characters I might try to draw once given inspiration and time.
Thanks.

'Like Cegorach I laugh in the face of death.'-Dawn of war Harlequin.

I love the harlequins, and their god is the only real one left... kane was fractured into a million pices[avatars] so he doesn't realy count. I like the way they seem to embody the way of art in war.

This also is how I imaged the laughing god too. The detail in this is just brilliant, and the smile looks so crafty. And that backgroud is just perfect.

The Harlequins are very fascinating indeed, as they d otake each battle as part of a play which forms their war-art. Mystical even in Eldar standards. The Dawn of War-Harlequins also had a enjoyable amount of Eldar mythology mentioned here and there in their speeches, refering to not only Cegorach but also Kurnous, Lileath, and possible foretold events (maybe seen/told by their Shadowseers). It's also a nice touch that their outlook/masks vary between two forms in the game, though of course the painted models are more detailed and beautiful. Still, it's a good little variation.

Thank you.

yeah I also like how all harlequins overcome slannesh or become solitarires. Not only that but they most likely re-incarnate too. Though the mdels are brillinatly detailed I doubt I have the skill to paint one, but there is a lot of opertunity for conversions in them, making for example a harlequin for each god and hero like ledanesh, khaine, lilieath ect. could work or maybe even a V harlequin.

The checkered coloures were the trickiest to colour, even though I had clear image of how they should go (thank you Eldar Codex!), but I'm happy that they turned out how they are ^^
Thanks
