Really interesting comparison.

I have to be honest, though. I PERSONALLY find the Anime style more appealing. The characters are more androgynous, and I just find that more interesting. (Characters with indiscernible genders tend to be the most interesting to me, like Edward from "Cowboy Bebop" or Phase One and Two Noodle from the Gorillaz.)
