Here's the second out of four pages of my Creativity series entitles Ladies.Basically, this is just a few compiled sketches to get an idea of how I draw girls. Or at least get a miled insight. Not really sure how to explain this one. lol. I guess this one pretty much explains itself.
If you couldn't tell, I like to mix sassy and cute. lol. Its kinda what I do.Anyways, let me know what you think.

Yea, I think I know what you mean. All these sketches were from different years though. So some of them, the emotion is a tad blank. While others are a little more refined. But all still messy sketches nonetheless. lol.

I do try to make each character look as unique as possible. Its not always easy, but I sure try.
These are pretty dated too. lol. I don't get to sketch as much as I'd like anymore. But I too feel I'm improving with each piece I do.

head shot and the two bottom right are my faves... and of those the farthest bottom right is the best to me. i really like her style and it gives a good idea that you can draw sexy but sexy doesnt have to be about skin.. a lil stomach and let the clothes tell the rest. haha, i like her hair too, takes me back to the days when ladies wore super styled short hair all the time :3

True, man. Sexy doesn't HAVE to mean nude. Its all a matter of figurin out how to make the outfits work. In my opinion, simpler is better.

well i wouldnt really say it was innocence, its more like she's confident and is in control, without trying to be overtly sexual. so i guess its more realistic, like something you'd capture in a photograph.

the one crouching on the btotom reminds me of me

But so far you're the second person to say that the character reminds you of yourself. BUT the other artist had no pic to compare. YOU on the other hand, have [link] [link] and [link] to compare too that actually have me completely agreeing with you on this one. There were other pics of course, but these three were definitely the ones that sold me on said theory. Which I guess makes you a mad cool hardcore hottie. Sorry, girl. There just ain't nothin we can do to change that.

well people thought i was gay when i had my man-punk phase in high school
and yeah i wouldn'ta said anything if i couldn't put up. i have seen some pretty out-there interpretations some kids here make of themselves that only come to light when they chance to post a photo. i really am not a giant blue sphinx by the way, that's a MONSTER WITHIN personality gig, but i like to think of my major ka as a valid "self-inspired character."

Sketch sheets are always a welcome sight; it's nice to be able to get a glimpse into the creative process of one's fellow artists. I like looking at things like this, since they give me a few ideas on ways that I can do my own stuff a little better.
On a side-note, I really like the style of the character at the bottom-left; she looks really good! Do you have any plans for using her in any of your work?

Yea, man. I'm the same way. Love to see peoples sketches. See there work in the raw. See whats goin on behind the scenes before everything is refined and perfected. Gives a MUCH better persepective on how they work. I LOVE IT!! So its only natural I do the same every now and again.
As for the character,...... the one in the fishnet shirt and school girlish skirt? Nah, man. That was a really REALLY generic sketch I did when I couldn't think of ANYTHING. lol. Thats my "no imagination/inspiration" work. lol. To me, its whatever plain nonsense. Well, that one sketch at least. There are only two other characters on the page that are actual characters. Claire (the three sketches to the bottom right) and character in the middle with her hair up and backstrapped shirt. Everything else on there is generic (generic for me mind you) garbage sad to say.
If you want to use that particular design to improve upon to make your own or whatever, by all means, go ahead. Its rare when I say that, dude. You have NOOOO idea.

Well, as you can tell from [link] ; I'm quite a fan of that style for female characters!
But my main reason for liking that one above the others is simply that her face and body type (particularly her abdomen) caught my attention more than those of the rest of the sketches.
I too have noticed that about the drawings that we don't like getting the most attention. It's the damnedest thing; I'll post one that I consider a personal masterpiece and it gets no views for about 3 hours, and then I post either a sketch or something that's utter crap and it's got like 30 views within a minute! DA is wierd...

The "girl on her knees" is a character I created back in high school. Her name is Claire Wylder. (Last name courtesy of one of my best friends. ~Satosa ) Still not sure how I'm going to implement the character in my current stories (since things have changed dramatically since high school), but a few aspects will still remain. She's still rich (due to her parents) and'll have a twin brother. (Not identical) I'm still debating wether or not I want to make her a dancer. lol. It'll all come in time I suppose.

Ummm.... two characters there are meant to be fighters. ...or at least one of them USED to be. The girl on the bottom left (theres three sketches of her there) was a character I created back in high school and was created to be a fighter. Not sure if I'm going to maintain that idea or not. And the character in the middle with her back facing and her hair up is meant to be another characters body guard. You'll be seein more of her later.
The rest are random sketches of girls though. lol

Very nice! I like your style of girls, and my two favorites have to be the one at the top right with the big tail of hair, and the one on her knees at the bottom cuz she reminds me of my gf. ^_^

The one on her knees is actually one of my more recognizable characters. (To my friends here in Jersey anyway. lol) There's actually another pic of her somewhere in my gallery I'm pretty sure. The character's name is Claire. I created her back in high school. Back when all my characters were fighter types. (Like Street Fighter or King of Fighters) Since my taste in stories has changed since than and like a more realistic feel to them, I'm still tryin to figure out a place to put her. It'll come to me in time I'm sure.
And it just occurred to me (since you brought up your girl) that neither of you have photos up in your gallery or scraps of the two of you. But hey, to each there own, right?
