Description This is work from awhile back! I am currently in the process of moving things from my old account!!

Here's a doodle I did of one of my characters, Barlow. He's a Ly'Rouzon [link] A breed of horse that are completely wild at heart unless they are called upon by Vampires in time of need or war. Though Barlow is a very easily tempered stallion, he is like butter when it comes to his corhort, Lady Sala...As you can see, he has no problem allowing her to do his hair up....but don't make fun of him or you'll be sorry!!!

I created Barlow to look more like a draft horse when it comes to his size which makes his relationship with the dainty Sala more interesting ^.^

Here is a snipet of my writing from the story and I are working that better discribes Barlow!

(This piece may not make alot of sense to those who don't know the story line, but it's just got alot of info about Barlow I'd like to share!)

----

Barlow's dark orbs watched intently against the hard falling flakes as his
mistress was quickly escorted acrossed the foyer, disappearing against the soft
glow of light that spilled from the heavy main doors. As the light was quickly
squeezed back into the large estate, a soft, irritable nicker would escape the
heavy creature...Her protection was out of his hands now and he wasn't very fond
of the Owl Man that constantly lurked at her heels.
Silience filled the gentle winter night until a soft cough would escape the
single Nightwalker who stood a few yards from Barlow. Gray tipped ears would
quickly flatten as the large Ly'Rouzon loward his giant skull and offered an
aggressive glare with one of his black and amber eyes. The man seemed unsure of
himself...As though he wanted to leave but didn't want to leave the stallion
unsupervised. The thought of trampling this Nightwalker as he had intended too
did pass Barlow's mind once or twice, but with no one around worth impressing,
it would be more or less a waste of energy. With a snort and the shake of his
neatly woven mane, Barlow would make a decision for this nervous creature as he
simply picked up his heavy, feathered hooves and headed towards the
woods....Barlow had more important things to do with this time given then just
standing around with a little, fawl scented babysitter.

As Barlow moved along the sleeping trees, he'd make quite the effort to move his
heafty body between the skinny openings. It wouldn't take an expert on the breed
to notice the unwavering differences that set Barlow's size and body structure
apart from his Ly'Rouzon brotheren. Elders from the main herd would often tell
stories of Barlow's Grand-Dam...and of her promiscuous habits. It had been
rumored she would often leave the herd, not returning for months at a
time...That was until she came back one day, womb swollen with a heavy, feather
footed foal...A giant half bred colt that would grow to sire just one son.
Though it was said his father was an outcast, Barlow was welcomingly accepted
into the herd's social life as his mother was a well ranked mare. And with his
striking size, it was little surprise when Barlow was choosen to be called off
to war. Even tho his size had brought the steed more advantages then the average
Ly'Rouzon could even dream, Barlow would deny any hint of tainted blood in his
veins. Never gotten the chance to meet his sire, Barlow would pride his heavy
build on a pure, big boned background.

As Barlow rounded about the front of the Kalarai palace, he'd cut back out of
the woods and swiftly canter atop the snow. The light gray equine's black orbs
remained highly alert, ears flickering about for any sounds. He was on the hunt
for something. Call it a little snooping of his own....Though it wasn't easy to
be sneaky with the soft jingle that followed him thanks to all his extra
accessories...The Cere'kai Nightwalkers weren't the only ones Sala liked to keep
looking nice.
Barlow looked more like a show pony then the wild mustang he truely was. The
saddle blanket that draped over his dappled rump would match that of Lady Sala's
elegant dress, right down to the shimmery opal beads. The black saddle that was
strapped to his back neatly displayed majestic swurls that were carved right
into the leather skirt, a recent polish would make them shine under the dullest
of light. From his black halter, sky blue tassels hung at each side of his meaty
cheekbones...his bit and buckles shined with the finest silver. Except for his
top knot which left his white bangs naturally long, the rest of his mane and
tail were cut short. Soft blue ribbon would be gracefully braided in his mane,
similar opal beads woven throughout his longer strains . His tail had been cut
short, almost to the bone and wrapped in silk cloth. Though the wild heart that
beat within him couldn't help but feel the nonsense of such drag, Barlow would
find himself willing to wear anything as long as it pleased his Lady.

Coming about the back of the manor, the stallion's canter would suddenly slow to
a creep as his large gapping nostrils flared, inhailing deeply to confirm a
fimilar scent. Now coming to a complete stop, the stallion would raise his heavy
skull to the dark cloudy skies and he inhailed once more. A soft raspberry would
escape Barlow's thick lips as he exhailed a fogged breath.Turning his irisless
orbs towards the thick woods that stood huddled behind the stables, Barlow would
attempt to smile past his snaffled bit. With ears pricked to their highest
point, the stallion would slowly move towards the woods before he would raise
his snout to the skies and call out in his deep, gruff voice.

"Noakes! ...Bring your Kalarai lovin' hide out here and greet your Old
Cousin..."
