Well, Imperial Guard I see there.
Isn't it the only one army which strategy is to drown an enemy in their own blood, not the enemy's?
And you know that all of you still go to the Dark Gods domain, making them even more powerful?

I alone can't do anything... since LasGuns barely tickles, that's why I field them in groups of 50+ that's a lot of tickle.

What about the Lost and the Damned? Are they going to release codex for them eventually?

(Fun fact: I don't play tabletop, I'm interested in fluff and mechanics, just like with Fantasy)

And about the Lost an Damned. I sadly don't know if they will have a codex any time soon, if ever. (I think they are too small and simply fall under the Chaos Space Marines category)

I don't play, but I'm GM for Fantasy and 40k roleplays
(So still, I need to know the fluff, and I'm interested in crunch and the rest).
(DoW was quite good, but only the standard version, expansions sucked imo, too much Eldar fan-wank. Didn't play DoW2 yet, no time for that now, but it seems much better than the predecessor).
I think that the first 3 ed where the best. And now, it's more like Spehss Mahrine fanfic.

LoD were supposed to be Chaos IG counterpart, so, I think one can mix few things from IG codex and few from CSM one.

Well... I haven't played DoW2 but I borrowed (stole) DoW1 + expansions from a friend of mine. I am the sort of person who likes base-builder games so I wasn't surprised that I liked DoW and the Dark crusade expansion (I couldn't play winter assault. It refused to start for some reason)

And i totally agree that the last 3 editions rules are slightly better for a Imperial player (IG can field 3 tanks per heavy support choice, that's 9 in total, wilst any other team can only field 3 tanks in total)

I don't complain, but my friends (opponents) do.

Well, I did the same with my DoW1 version. Well, borrowing or piracy is not a theft, whatever they would say (even from Catholic point of view it's different case). I know that DoW2 is NOT a base-builder, so I bought it blindly, as I prefer wargames, and that, from what I've heard, has some tabletop flavour.

If it comes to rules, I agree that nowadays it's better mechanics than it had once, but fluff is a disaster. But well, if one takes it from the grotesque point of view, it's not SM-fanwank, but a genuine trolling. (We can't forget that Warhammer universes were created as a parody of LotR [WFB] or Star Wars [W40k, and that one being a parody of its own fantasy predecessor]).
