I first saw him in an adaptation of Barchester Towers, way back in the 80s.

Very nice! You gotta love Snape. And I knew there had to be more to it than we were led to believe at the end of book six but I just couldn't see how.

Snape worked so well I thought because you could never really tell where he was coming from. That and the fact that no matter what great thing Harry managed to pull off you could always count on Snape to wreck his parade.

The strange thing though was how sympathetic you started to feel after the Harry saw his "worst memory". Young Snape was very tragic. I would liked to have seen a lot more of the Snape, Sirius, & James at Hogwarts stories.

I know if I had to teach the children of some of the lovely folks who made my life miserable in school, I'd have to really try to be at all fair (especially if the kids were anything like their parents).
