Diana is both incredibly similar and dissimilar to her mother. Where her mother is brash, Diana inherited the calm, collected thought process of her merchant father. Even at her young age she maintains a cool head under pressure and is seemingly unshakeable in the face of physical danger as well as tricky social discourse, which in most cases is more uncomfortable to her than a battle. She's often compared to her hotheaded hen of a mother, but her patience leaves her silent while Otrera speaks. Regardless, Diana always stands by her mother with fierce loyalty, no matter what she says or does.
While Diana was born with a few of her father's traits, she also gained from her mother independence and determination. She prefers to take care of herself and do things for herself. In fact, she becomes rather insulted at the offer to have something done for her. Not something often found in the sort of wealth her family enjoys. Furthermore, once Diana has made up her mind, it will not be changed, or at least not easily. She is reserved, aloof and oftentimes asocial, preferring either to be alone or simply to be with her mother or grandmother. Although there are times when she finds herself in the company of her older brothers, Diana is most often found alone, training or studying. She finds the pressures of Saraph society extremely uncomfortable and oppressive, but at this age she is more likely to keep her opinions to herself rather than voice them.

History
The youngest of three fledglings born to her father Doran and her mother Otrera, Diana recognized even at a young age that she had some big shoes to fill so to speak. As a fledgling, she idolized her mother, seeing her warrior status as empowering and heroic. Little did she know, her opinion of her mother's job would only serve to cause even more unrest between her parents over an already touchy subject. But regardless, her path was set. Diana knew what she wanted, and she had her mother to help her. She would become a Saraphem warrior, just like her grandmother and mother before her.
Even though Doran didn't care so much for the idea of his "little girl" heading off to do battle, the family remained tight-knit. Diana was obviously a mama's girl, but she and her father were close too. His focus was often on her older brothers, training them in the merchant business, as her mother's attention was on training her, but what time Diana and Doran did spent together he put forth effort to relate and bond with her. They still try to share these father-daughter moments, even though nowadays spare time is short for everyone in the family it seems.
As she aged and her own opinions began to develop, Diana's already close relationship with her grandmother became even closer. Ohtesse was a neutral party to any disagreement Diana had with her mother, and she shared with the young hen the same stories she'd told to Otrera as a youngling. Both of these strong female presences in her life would shape Diana's views of the world, and more importantly the Saraph nation.
Now six years of age, Diana is still living at home with her parents, training daily under the watchful eye of her mother or grandmother. She has grown into an elegant, yet strong-willed hen, comparable to her mother on that front. Recently she's shown interest in marriage, despite the reassurance from her parents that they would support her if she wanted to remain single. She knows her Saraphem blood is precious and sees it as her responsibility to pass it on through the right partner. This view of things has given her a less than romantic take on finding a mate, but with her youth still affecting her maturity there is a secret part of Diana that hopes to find genuine love among the Saraph tiercels.
