This one's a biggie.

So I hit 10,000 hits on my page... and this isn't the piece of work to celebrate that. We might even hit 15,000 by the time I finish that one.

So with this piece, it's KP versus my first original fan character, Valia Ryan, the primary antagonist of my KP fanfiction series on fanfiction.net.

Back when So the Drama came to an end, there had been several questions fans had regarding the direction of the series, and so many of them interested me. That was before it all went straight to hell, anyway, when they still respected the creators and celebrated the show for what it was. We knew it would never happen, we didn't want it to happen, we especially didn't demand that it happen, but we still wondered: "What if?"

Innocent questions. What if the show itself was more darker? What if the fight scenes were more violent? What if real life issues like drugs, politics and other problems teens face today came into play? And for me, what if Kim faced an enemy she could barely beat? Someone who was not only stronger than her, better than her in hand-to-hand combat (extensively), but was also smarter than her? Back then, Disney used the phrase "just like you" a lot. What if that enemy experienced some of the hardships teenagers do, both minor and serious, had his own views and was outspoken? What if you saw a little of yourself in this enemy? What if this enemy had no interest in taking over the world, and was torn between good and evil? And for kicks, what if Kim fought someone who could be rather psychotic in battle?

Valia was created to be the perfect catalyst for all of that, and his presence alone would introduce Kim into a world gone mad: the one that we live in... with exaggerations for effect, admittedly. In a way, he's everything the show couldn't be. Look at the complexity and detail of his design compared to the simplicity of Kim's. Not to mean that in a superior/inferior way, but the differences of the worlds they live in. His character's been expanded greatly since the first story, but unfortunately due to everything mentioned, he's also seen as a controversial one. It also doesn't help that, because I wanted to create a character Kim really struggled against, and considering how powerful she is, Ryan is far more powerful to the point where he's on a much higher level than Kim is.

The stories take place after So the Drama, but I didn't want to take away anything that's already established in the series. Rather, expand upon it and introduce someone whose presence would change everything. The kind of people Kim would involve herself with, the things she would see and experience, and mainly, her relationship with Ron and how it could be used against her, and persevering against every obstacle thrown at her. That was before Season 4 was announced, anyway.

If you've been watching me moan, whine and complain in my journal, I made this piece in hopes to snap out of a writing block I've been stuck in within the last year. I've been meaning to finish up the third story in the series, "Acts of Desperation" - mainly the final villain rant that tries to take a realistic perspective on why someone would do something that could cause the end of the world, purposely or inadvertently. I know would really piss off a lot of people anyway (coughdestroyallwhothreatenthefuturecough) although that's not why I'm writing it; that's the kind of enemy I wanted Kim to face - but I just wind up staring at the screen and type nothing, or write something, realize it's terrible, and redo it. And I haven't found anything to spark that motivation for a year. A year. Not to mention I bit off way more than I can chew.

So let's draw a picture of Kim fighting him, no particular scene in the story and I just love it when these two fight, brutally engaged in hand-to-hand combat. This one took too damn long to do, but it had to be done, dammit! And Kim's in her classic clothes, but for a reason...

So let's see if this helps me get back to writing. And if you're crazy enough to want to read the story I'm struggling on (it's called "Acts of Desperation"), you can skip the first two stories as their events are covered in the third, and whenever I finish that it'll be over 300,000 words.

Oh, and if anyone can name the move Val's doing in this picture, you win a hundred internets. (Here's a hint: If he wasn't already enough of a pain to fight, Valia suffers from a horrible, terrible, severe case of SNK Boss Syndrome.)
