Magician Type 0, House of the Dead (c) SegaPicture:
It's Magician Type 0, the final boss of The House of the Dead. This should actually be an extremely accurate picture, especially the patterns. I think I spent three hours staring at a tape on pause to get the details. As the date implies, this is a really old drawing, dates back to 2000. Wow.
Technique:
Nothing but Pencil and staring at a TV screen. Good thing you can hook up game systems to your VCR.
Thoughts:
Magician rocks. One of the best final boss designs at the time.

Thanks. I recorded the game on a tape and kept it on pause as a reference. Probably why that VCR doesn't work anymore.

I know, TC5 would have 3 players to battle against enemy troops, including Wild Dog the sub-boss! He even meaner than Magician! Everybody is waiting for the 5th games for both Time Crisis and House of the Dead!

He was one of the bosses I enjoyed battling a second time (House of the dead 1 & 2)

Glad you enjoy the pic. Magician was somehow one of those truly memorable bosses for some reason.
From what I've heard, though, Magician is actually the main boss in House of the Dead 4 Special. Too bad that won't be found outside Japan anytime soon.

I did read somewhere, the boss called " The Star" contains cells from The Magician.

I read on Wikipedia that The Star in HOTD4 contained part of the Magician's DNA. It actually contained a lot of neat info regarding all of the bosses in the series. But for whatever reason none of it's there anymore.

I remember playing House of the Dead, and the Magician is my favorite boss there. He is a real challenge, plus his attacks are executed in a very graceful manner

i didnt know you could hook game systems up to your VCR.i just stuck in a black tape and recorded what was going on in the game.now if only my TV could pause....
