I like the composition, how the bird feels almost trapped up there, with no room to fly - only to fall down.

I love the symbolism of the white bird like a dove, plus the romantic double/joined rings. But at the same time, the shadow of the bird points to sadness as well.
It's like life. In order to feel happiness, we must realize that sadness is the contrast that makes joy sweeter.

It is true. One cannot have happiness without sadness, light without dark, day without night. None of these can exist without the other. Otherwise they become something new.

I almost feel like the bird is about to go through the maze. I really like this piece.

Even the full view is not enough. Is great how the wooden fence (is it?) creates this sort of soft negative space.
