Description
Have you ever stared at yourself in the mirror and wondered "Am I really seeing who I am...", maybe you stare a little longer and harder trying to uncover some hidden truth about yourself. Nope - no epiphany yet.Maybe if you stared long and hard enough you'd see the picture above.
This is a combination of silk screen (for the colors) and woodblock (all that is black).

I like that idea - combing woodblock and silk screen. Cool concept. I know what you mean about looking in the mirror and thinking those ideas. I've done that before. Once when I was a little kid I was frustrated that I was not "tough", so I tried looking at myself in a mirror and making the meanest expression I could make. It wasn't convincing - except for one brief second where I actually looked like someone else, and scared myself. Then it passed, and I ridiculed myself for my silliness - and for being frightened....

Thats really funny - I grew up as a really small kid (105lbs my freshman year) and thanks to the military and age I have gained a bit of weight since those days but I still am that little guy deep inside somewhere...

Unfortunatley I lost some of the delicate lines from the screenprinting - I am going to try this again with a differant type of image to see if I can get the depth I am looking for....who knew color would be so hard?

I agree and am thankful for it... This is an assignment from my class, the theme was x-ray.
