Thank you 😊 It means 'I think, therefore I am'. It's Latin.

Oh, this is beautiful! I especially love the way you shaped Connor's face, the flesh tones are really well done! The way you did the highlights and shadows on the face are so unusual looking, but fantastic. I also looked up what "Cogito Ergo Sum" means and I must say, that's a pretty clever title! Even the flowers are absolutely gorgeous, the pale yellow flowers contrast so nicely with the gray background, it all comes together so wonderfully! You have some serious skill with both composition and technique. Also, if you don't mind me asking, I'm curious to know what paint program you used. Something about the way you did the brush strokes is so unusual looking!Β

Hey Ralaka! Thanks for the super comment! I painted this using Photoshop CS3. It's a really old version of photoshop that I learned how to use in university. I also used a Wacom Intuos 4 graphics tablet - you can see a review of it here which explains a bit about it. Again it's an old Wacom tablet to be honest, maybe about 10 years now.

I painted Connor's face myself (from reference) on a coloured background; however the flowers are free for use vintage stock images which I downloaded from the Graphics Fairy (love her). You can view the graphics fairy's website hereΒ  . Just be sure to read her terms of use if you're using her pictures for anything commercial. For personal use (like fanart you won't be selling to people) then it's just fine to use Β

As for the brush strokes....I simply used a chalk brush in Photoshop. It's one of the brushes that comes with it. After I finished my painting I applied a colour filter to it using Canva.

I hope that helped you! If you have any questions at all please always ask, I'll be happy to help. Best of luck with your own artΒ Β Β Β

Thanks kindly <3 The flowers were a stock item I popped on top of the painting itself so I didn't actually paint them. I'm delighted you like the painting overall. Thank you for looking <3

Intelligent title you chose for this. Frankly, I still haven't played the game yet, but I saw one of those "videogamovies" on YouTube about Detroit, and I really value the concept that robots may not be as different as us as time passes. If I have the chance to have one, I would treat him/her more as a friend rather than a servant, because I do not deny they will have feelings someday. Moreover, I'd not feel alone in company of one

Nice work! I would suggest to keep an eye to shades as a resource to give depth on certain areas. Suggestion aside, this abstract concept is really really well executed.

Hi there! Thanks for the wonderful comment! You should give this game a go if you can, it really makes you think about life and what it truly is!

Thanks for the suggestions on the shading; I do indeed always find it quite hard to express the different planes of the face using shading, but it's something I'm doing my best to work on Β  Many thanks again! <3
