Description In all my work, I like to express an emotion. This picture shows true, sinking despair.

This picture contains in excess of seven backgrounds, plus a couple of brushes and textures. I designed it for use by one of my own roleplay characters. Enjoy!

EDIT: A watermark has been added and the full view size reduced. As well, there will be no more downloads of this image allowed. There's been WAY too many people stealing this particular work, and I'm fed up with it. Sorry for the inconvenience. I really do wish you guys could continue to see the full-sized, clean image, but people are just stupid. Period.

Where did you get your horse stock?

I made this piece over two years ago (it was submitted December 28 2006), before I understood that stock needed to be credited. At that point, as well, crediting for out-of-dA stock wasn't something that most people did, unfortunately. Because of that, I honestly don't know. I need to go on a stock-hunt and find it, though, becuase a lot of people have been asking me.

Sorry. D:

Awwr, thanks! It's an oldie, but I still really don't mind it. I don't really like any of my own art, but this one is okay-ish.

I really appreciate the comments, Will!

Thanks so much for the support, love! I really do appreciate it. It really is awful that people would sink to that level, and it would be so nice to be able to offer my pictures without the watermark! Unfortunately, it just doesn't seem to be much of an option.

Thank you!

Very welcome. I know its a shame, but we just have to deal with those "people". I understand.

It's sad...I think that your devoted watchers and DA friends can hope at least to get the pictures they like most of all by the Internet on e-mail. What do you think?

Shadehkins In reply to Lucyolla [2007-10-30 22:03:19 +0000 UTC]

If the friends that I talk to really want to see them without the copyright bars, I'm always more than happy to send via e-mail. I've never gotten a request to do that, though! For the most part, the copyright bars don't get in the way too much, but I think that's reasonable. I'd only do that for a few select friends who I talk to a lot, though, and who I trust. I'm not in the mood the get another picture stolen!

"For the most part, the copyright bars don't get in the way too much" - well, yes, but sometimes when one wants to use a picture as a reference or for some manipulation (and the owner of the pic agrees) he kills a lot of time on "cleaning" the pic from the "copiright". I know, I spent a lot of my time on that not so long ago.
And as for your galery, there are a lot of pics peole would like to enjoy without watermarks...your friends are lucky you send these pictures to them

I disagree. My copyright bars are usually no more then 7 pixels wide. When the picture is hundreds of pixels tall, you can just improvise. It's a millimeter. Why would you need to clean it?

I've just had a huge problem with people stealing my pictures, though, so don't count on seeing them unprotected in my gallery without watermarks any time soon. It's really sad that have to do it, but it has to be done.

And thank you. I think the world of my friends.

"My copyright bars are usually no more then 7 pixels wide. When the picture is hundreds of pixels tall, you can just improvise. It's a millimeter. Why would you need to clean it?" I don't know any other way to remove the watermark... I opened the picture in the PhotoShop and "painted" the watermark...The most part of the picture was covered with it...and I didn't quite catch the idea of 'ixel-size' actually.

Shadehkins In reply to Lucyolla [2007-11-05 22:43:01 +0000 UTC]

No, my question was why would you need to remove the watermark? The only reason you'd need to take it off would be to steal it and claim it as your own. If you wanted to use it for inspiration, you can see around the watermark.

Lucyolla In reply to Shadehkins [2007-11-06 14:38:17 +0000 UTC]

Oh, you mean this...No, I didn't steal anything, be sure! And I'm a bit upset to hear that. I asked for permission to use the photo that contained a watermark and I was allowed to use it. I needed the photo badly but I couldn't imagine the watermark in my photo-manipulation. [link]
That's all. I'm not an art thief...

Oh no, love! I wasn't accusing you. I was just wondering why you needed to remove a watermark! xD I understand now, though. Sorry for the confusion. No worries- I know you're not.

Beautiful piece, by the way. You should have just asked the photographer for the un-watermarked version. Most are happy to give it, and it saves lots of time.

Sorry, dearie!

That's ok! I'm not angry
Thanks for kind words about my manip.
As for the photo...well, this wasn't a stock photographer and I was a little bit nervous: what if I was not allowed to use it? So when I got the permission I was shy to ask for an unmarked photo and wanted to use it before the author changed her mind.
