I have always liked Zapdos the best and I thought I couldn't like the design more and then Galarian Zapdos arrived. Excellent bird, love the concept. I really enjoyed painting this one! I based my interpretation on roadrunners and some birbs with stockier legs such as the cassowary.

The original paintings of the 2021 series will be available on Etsy when the series is finished!

Done with watercolours and Pentel pocket brush pen on cold pressed watercolor paper.
