Description
The Turian Forest Plantation, one of the Asturian Estates owned by Sir Montero, had within its forests many secrets only the animals knew about. So it came as no surprise to the workers when, after arriving at the grounds, the lighter progeny of Regis tore into the forested part of the breeding paddock. Sir Montero had long anticipated seeing the stud after loaning his stallion out to Iron Horse Stables, but with the perfect markings and horns, he knew the foal would be splendid indeed. Not long afterwards, the mare - a bit lighter but still very fiery and active, was released and allowed to roam. Only time could tell if the two would find one another and what could possibly take place in the shaded groves of the mountainous pasture.

Mercel takes his time breathing in the fresh, new scents of this strange ranch, much cooler and wetter than his home. The trees grew tall with twisting branches, and the sun seemed a different color to him in the sky. But hearing the sound of a second creature, one with hooves, he stood his ground to wait. No stallion was going to force him to go anywhere he didn't wish to. Instead, his nosethen his eyes were blessed with a wondrous mare, her coat a rich red with white and chocolate markings. Upon her shoulder and head sat bright magenta horns, making her stand out from the browns of the trees. He snorts a bit to catch her attention; once she sees him the game is on. Clacking teeth and rattling manes, playful nips and chasing, the two court for what seemed to be ages before finally the mare concedes to the stallion's worthiness.

In the morning, when the IHS staff call the speckled stallion to the fence gate to be carted home, Sir Montero is delighted to see the pair approaching side-by-side, tails brushing against one another. Now all he needed to do was wait for the foal to arrive.
