I often find it hard to know what to do with these shots, cropping wise. They always look better like this I think, removing all the empty space in the shot but I know lots of people disagree with me on that front.

You sound similar to me when it comes to cropping and stuff. I am always hesitant as to which way I should crop things. I guess it all depends on the photos. Like sometimes if it's a big cat looking in one direction, it's nice to leave a bit of space in the direction in which it's looking. But for this particular flight shot, I think you cropped it perfectly. I agree with you on this one, getting rid of the extra space. I like the wide crop as well.
