First thing: No, it isn't the MOST critically acclaimed film in years. You're telling me that critics have considered it the best film in modern times? Β Um, no. That's just not true.
Critics LIKED the Babadook, but that doesn't make it the MOST critically acclaimed film in years. Critics liked both Titanic and High Fidelity, that doesn't make them good films.
Second: The Exorcist, Night of the Living Dead, A Nightmare on Elm St., The Shining, The Cabin In The Woods, Halloween, Dawn of the Dead, The Descent, VHS, Jaws, 28 Days Later, Insidious,Β The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Saw, Dog Soldiers... the list goes on and on. How's that?
