I have already mentioned that I adore hyenas, and that it was rather difficult to get a proper shot, since they weren't very active that day (aka sleeping most of the time). But when that fuzzy-eared head did rise for a few moments, the 500mm barrel did its job beautifully. Because the only thing better than focal length is MORE focal length! Though only with a proper image stabilizer.

Also, I found that taking pics of zoo animals is quite an enjoyable pastime (if there are no dirty windows or high fences in the way). Might do it more often in the future... Though as usual, I'll be very selective, only uploading one or two shots per day. If you're interested in my previous efforts, I made a folder for my animal photos.

Not much when compared to 986 train, car and aircraft pics, but hey, it's a start.
