I don't know where the inspiration came from but I just had a really strong urge to draw a space ship like when I was a kid, I wanted to draw something mechanical that contained little details that you can connect together and say "that's the fuel cell connected to the turbine powering the ion generator", I have no bloody clue what I'm saying but it brings about ideas as to what ridiculous thing to connect it to next and thats pretty much how I went about this. After the ships, again in childlike form I just wanted to draw a big ass planet that imposes over it all, the weird beginnings of a small galaxy in the background (my interpretation) was an afterthought as I was screwing up dotting stars with the gel pen. Sorry this is so late getting back to you! Thanks for the kind words, I was using a white gel pen for that which I was surprised did a pretty good job. Your drawings are awesome!
