This is the longest I ever spent on a pic, I started it a while ago and stayed on it for 3 days straight. I only gathered the patience to finish it tonight
. I actually did a background from scratch.. gasp!Open Canvas 1.1 and some Photoshop.

Very nice pose and comp! I especially love the scalework on the dragon. Iridesence is an attractive look, and I just love the expressions your dragons have.
For critique I'd say make the shadows more intense to add dramatic effect and accompany his lying beneath the moon. I'm not sure what it is about the sword that boggart sees, but I do agree, though it is an interesting design. I'm thinking that it may be the thickness of the sword compared to some of the more slender parts of the dragon.

First, w00t for Rhapsody. Nice detail on the dragon, especially the scales, but the sword... it seems lacking. It looks a tad cartoonish compared to the dragon. Maybe give it a more ornate hilt or something.

Oooh! It looks like one of those little crystal dragon paperweight thingies!
The background and what-not is really nifty. The only issue I have is with the wings--they appear to be at unusual angles within themselves. It kind of makes my eyes tweak up a lil bit. It's still nice overall, though.
