I used my own base and pretty much did my worst on it along with the help of some references. I got the idea of this rant from ~Hana-Pixels , and I don't want to copy her version too much, so this rant is probably not going to be a good one. I've seen stuff like this used a lot with a few of my bases and other‘s bases and it's really annoying. I want to speak not only on my behalf but for other base makers out there. I also don’t want my watchers to hate me for making such a rant, but please look at it in my perspective. I noticed how others neglect some of my rules, one of them is rule number 5 “Please take your time on it, make it look good by putting effort in it.” Don‘t take it personally, but seriously... At least try to make it decent.

Things wrong with this base:
1. saved as JPG/JPEG (the quality looks sucky) What’s also an issue in most cases is when people don’t download my bases which also makes the quality sucky.
2. left the title text ("Sexy Naruko Base." you're supposed to remove that and rules too)
3. NO effort whatsoever, not enough time spent on it.
4. you used the paintbrush tool when you're generally supposed to use the pencil tool (or straight/curved line tool)
5. No shading in the hair and shading looks BAD
6. didn’t even bother to erase the head outline
7. Unnecessary space that has NO reason to be there. Why some people do that, I don’t know.
8. Pretty much looks like a little kid did it.

I really do appreciate you using my bases, it makes me feel proud that my bases are worth using. But seriously, it makes me mad whenever I see something like this. As for other base makers, just like myself, they work hard to make the bases look good for you to use, we expect people who doll them to do the same. Base making is not as easy as you think it is, it irks us to see our bases that are being used come out looking as if you didn‘t dedicate any time on them. We did not spend hours/days on them just so that base users could only dedicate minutes/seconds on them. I'm not going to link to anyone's pictures or start name-calling, but you know if you've done it and just to reiterate, please remember I'm NOT TRYING TO BE MEAN, (I can’t stress that enough) it's just that you need to start learning how to correctly pixel, even if you‘re new on Deviantart. You should go look up a tutorial of how to do it (I even have a base editing tutorial to help you). Granted, I wasn’t perfect when I first started dolling bases. But thanks to progressing as I went and getting advise from my friend, I got so much better than I did before. I’m pretty sure you can do it too.

So please put some effort and look up base editing tutorials as well, they help a lot. Remamber: the longer you take on a base, the better it will look. Dolled bases like these are aggravating and it doesn't make me look bad, it makes you look bad. And honestly, pictures like these just get ridiculed.

P.S. I have a pet peeve about this other matter, so if I ever find/go on your homepage and find one of my bases you used, I will get on your case and it won’t be pretty. So if I ever find one of my bases you used and it’s either not given proper credit to me for the base and/or you didn’t link me your finished doll, I will chew you up, spit you out and chew you up again. Because not giving credit to the base maker for the base(s) you use is considered stealing and you can get in trouble with the dA staff for it if you get reported. Like I mentioned, we base makers work hard to make the bases for respectful base users to use. It’s only appropriate and respectful to give credit to the base maker you used the bases from.
Also, I’m not all-seeing, so I don’t know if someone in particular is using my base right now. I find it rude when someone doesn’t let me know when their dolled base is submitted even if you do give credit. I still want to see what you did with my dolled base so I can fave it and give positive feedback.
