It's when you realise that it's hinted Rei was falling for Shinji... um... technically, that's your SON you're falling in love with, there, Rei XD
I guess one could argue that Rei isn't actually Yui, but she is a copy, so it'd still be wrong. Unless it's the Raising Project continuity.
