I'm now having visions of him in a dark room, staring at the viewer, when the tail pulls up, and over his shoulder...
Dark blue eyes smouldering like hot coals...
And then it lets off with a loud, psychotic ROAR that shakes the viewer AND the room, the kind that will wake ANYONE from sleep, shaking with chills... 0_o;;;;;

The giant TAIL-head just made me think of it as 'nightmare fuel'...It DOES have some SCARE potential.
