Description “Okay, this should be enough for today.”

Chloe and Myra eased up from the meditating positions they had been sitting on. Chloe’s feet ached and felt numb. Of course, being quadruped Pokemon, they haven’t been sitting cross-legged or anything, but they had still had to stay completely still through the whole exercise.

Myra was also rubbing her front legs together to get the blood moving better. “Say, Master Foo”, she started, “why do we have to go through this again? You said that we’re already pretty experienced in battles, so why is this taking so long?”

During the last few weeks, they had been coming over to the dojo almost every day. They had also been quite busy in getting settled to the new tenement apartment they were staying at. But now that their moving was finished, it was handy that the walking distance to the dojo was so small.

To Opal’s disappointment, Master Foo had confirmed that there was no known way to make her kind evolve. She was still coming over to the dojo quite often, though. She didn’t necessarily do much more than watch other Pokemon train, but according to her, it helped her to “learn more about the tricks the local Pokemon use in battle”. Right now she was on the other side of the dojo, since she didn’t seem to be very interested in meditating.

“Getting impatient, I see”, Master Foo said to Myra. “Yes, I did say that you’ve clearly gone through some intense fights already. And your kind doesn’t have to wait for very long before they can evolve. But you need both physical and metal growth for the evolution to happen. That is why you’re doing this exercise.”

“Huh… I don’t really get it”, Myra objected, “I dunno what I’m supposed to think about to make me ‘grow mentally’ or something. I just keep thinking all the other stuff I’d rather be doing.”
Chloe couldn’t help but to smile. This definitely didn’t seem like something that fit Myra very well. Chloe, on the other hand, rather enjoyed having some time for her own thoughts. And even though she had ended up starting the training with Myra, she wasn’t in any hurry to evolve. It would happen eventually.

Master Foo sighed. “Well, then this might not be the right exercise for you. But it never hurts to try. But I can tell you this: you need to learn how to accept yourself, but also how to trust others. Evolution is very hard to reach if you aren’t honest about your feelings and keep yourself closed up. You both still need to work on this, but I’d say the one who is probably going to have the hardest time with this is…” He turned to look Chloe straight in the eyes.

“You.”

Chloe was quite astonished by the master’s words. She didn’t really feel like she was closing herself from others, or herself. She didn’t quite understand what he meant, but just before she managed to open her mouth to ask about it, they all heard a familiar voice from outside.

“Heeeey! Are there any guild members nearby? This is an emergency!”

Myra was the first to recognize the voice. “It’s Mike!” They all rushed to the window, and saw Mike running around the center of the village. Opal quickly came up from the other side of the dojo. “What’s going on over there?” she asked as she couldn’t quite reach the window.

“Mike… the Charmander we met, remember?” Chloe began as the name didn’t seem to ring the bell in Opal’s head. “It looks like he’s looking for help.”

“It looks quite serious indeed”, Master Foo said. “It would be the best if you went to assist your leader in any way you can.”

“Yeah, definitely!” Myra agreed. “C’mon, let’s go!”

And with that, she dashed out of the dojo, with Chloe and Opal not too far behind. At the doorstep, Chloe remembered to turn around and bow. “T-thank you for today’s lesson, master!”

Master Foo nodded in approval and smiled. “I wish you the best of luck on your mission.”

And thus begins Event 6.2. Like with E4, it will be a written story and watercolor/colored pencil illustrations. I don't have too much time for quality control for these pictures, because I have to have everything finished by tomorrow (I'll be gone for two weeks after that).

I hope you'll find time to read through it at some point, because some important stuff will happen that will be relevant in the next mission. Things will get pretty serious in this mission, but it's something I've really wanted to do for a while.

Good luck with finishing the event before it's too late!

Chloe will have more difficulty? Hmm, I wonder why's that...

I chuckled when I tried imagining them sitting cross-legged.

Yeah, someone would probably break a leg if they tried that with their tiny, stubby feet. xD

Yup! I do the flat colors with watercolors and shade with colored pencils. I'm not very good with using watercolors, but the pencils can help to fix it a lot. ;D

Thanks a lot! <3 I'm happy to hear it came out well enought~
