Description
[Edited Version] Improvements of large and middle planets texture quality as well as rim, flare enhanced, asteroids edge have been smoothened, planet ring more blended in terms of color. I hope this is more satisfactory to you guys. I did not intend to make drastic changes but just improve it according to some of your remarks.Hey, it's been a little while, working a lot! Lots of stuff coming up soon and this one first.
I wanted this space art quite dynamic and texturized with cool shapes, burning lights and mainly orange and blue-greenish colors.
All done in photoshop CS3.
All stocks and textures are mine.

I personally think that the quality of the planets' textures are great as they are.
The close-up planet looks great, and so does the lens flare.
As for the other planets' atmospheres, they don't seem to blend well with the rest of the scene; they seem to be hard, plain outer glows that have been added and erased on some ends.
I would also make the planet's rings have a better matching color with the other planets, a bit like their atmosphere's color.

Thx a lot buddy, I agree with both of you in the sense that this piece could be enhanced with all of your comments guys. That's what I'm planning to do shortly. The rim is a bit too rough indeed. The textures's central planet is fine with me, it's a bit too subjective whether you like it or not but I agree that the ring could be much more blended with colors. I'll let you know when the edited version is up.

Je trouve tout de mΓͺme que l'atmosphΓ¨re de la grosse planΓ¨te du haut est trop directe.
Si je serais toi, je rajouterais peut-Γͺtre une deuxiΓ¨me atmosphΓ¨re plus grosse mais plus subtile dessous celle qui est lΓ , pour qu'elle s'adapte mieux Γ son entourage.

Yeah, the lens looks great. But there is some lack in quality which kinda destroys it a litte. And so do the planet textures. The only planet which I don't like is that with the ring.

thx man, I appreciate your critique. I will take it into account for my future. I use pretty high resolution texture but it's my manipulation and transformation that probably deteriorate the quality in the end. I'll be more careful next time. I can't help but feel the blue atmosphere on the corner planet is distracting. It just seems out of place, in my opinion. Otherwise this is fantastic.
