Yeah I think Ozai might be on a bit of an ego trip, Phoenix King, honestly. And then he’s got that huge collar on as well, now all he needs is a giant hat with his name on it

Anyways I took artistic license with the giant collar because dash it all its better this way! I really liked painting the light on his face, I like back-lighting I think. The hardest part was the comet, for a long time it just looked like an orange sneeze
I love his giant collar, it is just so awesome

Wow That is intense! His face is so fierce! I love the way you did this picture. Only portraying half of his face adds for a really dramatic effect as well. His armor is done well too. Very intense face. It is a very powerful piece for a very powerful character. Very good job on this one.

Very cool. The comet in the backgroud is an awesome addition...Maybe i'm just being a nitpicky fangirl, but judging by the original animation I may have made his mouth wider in this pic. Otherwise, the shape of his face matches the original pretty well.

Yeah, that collar-thing was kinda silly...

Ahahahahaha! I know that was one of my all time favorite moments in the entire series! I just loved how Aang's arm jolted out of the rock's and yanked Ozai's beard. The force jerked his whole head. Stopped Ozai's insult right in his tracks. That was a golden moment. Absolutely golden. I laugh at that scene every time I see it.
