Description Finally! I got it ready!
This thing took forever to do! Thats kinda the reason why Im still not finshed with the crocheting tut.

Well... You certanly didnt expect this kind of tutorial from me, neh?
Spent about ~6 hours straight getting everything right and smashing this stuff together...

Anyways... I have been making these lilΒ΄ things for quite a while now. Huh, mainly for keychains. But then I thought that if Id used bigger beads, it could be made into a christmas decoration! ^^

Actually... There was a contest held by Helmehaldjas
(bead fairy). Its an internet bead shop.^^
If youre interested, then heres the link.--> [link]

You had to do a tutorial of sth made with beads. They made a calendar 2011 of the top 12 best bead tutorials.
And guess what. THIS TUT WAS ONE OF THE CHOSEN ONES!

My work was printed under the December month. Obviously...

I have to say that they made my pics in the calendar a bit dull and theres only 4 pics in the instructions + they added a crappy snowflake frame around the last pic. :I

You can order this calendar here!-->[link]

Meh... You cant see much from those lil thumbs, but it sure is worth it! All of the instructions in there are compleatly different from each other. So theres sth to work on every month.

If anything is unclear in the tut, just ask.

Happy Holidays!

I'm having trouble with the part called half circle, where do I connect togather at?

Ehm... Did you get the half circle ready?

Basicly youre building lil' "pentagons", you have the basic circle with 5 beads, then build up another 4 "pentagon" groups around it and finally, to get the closed half circle-the fifth pentagon group- you have to put the right wire through 3 beads on right, add 2 on the left and put the right wire through one left bead. -you have a half circle.

Now, to continue from there, you have to put the right wire though one bead on right, add 3 beads to left and then connect... Waaaaiiit.... Im repeating exactly what I typed in the tut.... -.-

Ugh... The instuctions under the half circle pic is how to get the half circle and what should it look like then.

Ok... I dunno if I answered your question, but ask again, if you didnt understand.

I made a Chinese lantern doing something like this once. What is this craft called? Beading?

It's actually a form of beadweaving called right angle weave.
