Christ, I ended up hating this novel.
It started SOOO well. For the first 9 or 10 issues It was shocking, yet heartwarming and funny at times. I had such high hopes. But the story just became and convoluted far too often. It felt like a bad soap opera at times. Conversations just dragged pointlessly, and some sub-plots were completely unnecessary. The tactic of characters being in mortal danger one second, only to be saved (usually -and predictably- by agent 355) at the very last moment; became excruciatingly dull and repetitive.
60 issues of a story that could've provoked more poignancy for the reader in almost a tenth of the needless number of issues we were presented with... urgh

Y is one of the best series out there. It's a shame it's ending soon but it's also awesome that it's ending by the writer's design instead of being canceled or changing writers.

I really like the series. Everyone's alterior motives get kind of confusing at times, but it's a really exciting read. I haven't finished the series though, so I'm only telling you about what I know so far.

We have book 1 and book 8. They are pretty good! but we have to get them from singapore and that only ever happens once in a while. The amazons kinda freak me sometimes...

Just to say, I'm an all-new and huge fan of your work.
You have a wonderful grasp of the western-style caricature cartoony charm and beauty, and yet you don't let it limit the indcredible dynamics of your characters in terms of movement, shape or posture. Or any other technical aspect. It gives all your drawings such wonderful life and it's a marriage of skill and style that I can only hope to one day achieve.
As to this picture specifically: well, I just love 'Y the Last Man', and upon seeing this, felt it was a particularly good time to mention my affection for your work. Yorick and Ampersand are perhaps two of my favourite characters in a graphic novel - flawed, but endearing, I think Yorick is a wonderfully human protagonist.
Anyway, I'm rambling. Really enjoy your work, and I'll be watching from now on. Venture Brothers, Turtles, Roger Rabbit:Thank you for carving such a fantastic monument to some of my favourite characters ever!
