9"x12" brown ink on calligraphy paper~5 hours of work
This is drawn from a photo I took of Nathaniel Johnstone at the Cthulhu Ball in San Francisco last month. One of the other people there had made a knit baby Cthulu monster, which Nathaniel and Daniel were posing with. And, of course, I had to misspell "Cthulhu"....
Drawn in pencil, inked with a dip pen, and washed with a small round brush. This is a pseudo-illustrative drawing style I have wanted to try for a couple years, and I plan to experiment with it further.

Thanks. He's not supposed to look that... old. Yeah, texture fail on that one. It was supposed to look like shading, but looks like wrinkles.

Yes. Cthulhu, the Elder God, envisioned by H.P. Lovecraft. Of course, I misspelled it.....

ok good i was afraind i was just being an idiot and mizing up titles......and i thought he was an alien entity, not a god?

He's an Elder God in the stories. His figure has been commandeered for various other stories since, and I wouldn't be surprised if he'd been cast in the roll of alien at some point or other by some third party.
