it is fantastic!!! the only problem i have with it is that I have to take the lens cap off every time i turn on the camera, even to just review the pictures. but that's only a minor inconvenience. and it makes up for it in good quality pictures. a good buy

i would say so yeah... as good as you can get with a point-and-shoot. SLRs may be better but i'm still satisfied.

not sure what it stands for.. but they're the more fancy cameras with interchangeable lenses, manual focus and exposure, and other stuff like that. they're more expensive and complicated to use.
