Sunset at the Deglunden lake in Värmland, Sweden.Despite the bad weather during the day, some evenings had beautiful sunsets. This was taken around 10pm. Don't think you can sit there and enjoy the view - myriads of gnats will eat your flesh within seconds. After taking 5 shots of the scene with different positions of the sun I fled back into my house. And yeah, I know, next year I got to repair my wooden pontoon, it's a disgrace...

A very, very beautiful sunset capture.
What really makes this one is the depth of colour that you've been able to capture. From the blackest blacks of the silhouetted trees, to the deep blues in the clouds, to the yellows and oranges, all of the colours are true and beautiful.
While perhaps not the most original shot ever, it is very lovely. The one thing I'm not sure about is the composition. I like the horizon placement, and but it's the placement of the dock that's throwing me off a tad. I think it's because the bottom reflection is cut off. It adds such a beautiful texture to the photo and I would have liked to see more of the dock in there for that very reason, because it breaks up the photo spatially but also offers a break in the smooth texture of the sky and water.
Overall, it's an absolutely beautiful photo. Very calming, appealing and the sunset gives a lovely visual impact.

The colors in this are stunning! Especially the reflection on the water. Wow a sunset at 10pm would seem so late.

Yeah, I figured it must be but it's still interesting to think about. It's hard imagining a sunset being any later than 8 o'clock.
