I personally think that Japan's progress post-WW2 is simply astounding and remarkable. They suffered tremendous defeat and things weren't going too well, but the patriotic spirit of the people that are unrelenting in the face of gloom is what I think is really amazing... the spirit to pick up what's left, and build up their country from there to what it is today. Of course there were not-so-pretty things that happened to, but let's leave the darker side of history at that eh?

'Twas just a simple doodle done at work which kinda just morphed into this after I was reading up some WW2 bits on Wikipedia this afternoon.
