Description
A self portrait done for my upcoming Adv. Drawing and Painting class for my final year of high school.Thank you to the tiny, impossible screen of my scanner, some of it is cut off, but not enough to matter really. Just some of mars and one of the wolves pictured.
I’ll start at the top to describe it.
First we have Mars (or at least what you can see thanks to my small scanner), then Earth and its moon in front of a musical stream there. In front of that we have the fantastic David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust in full Kabuki makeup. Below him we have a firebreathing dragon, a unicorn and two wolves (the better drawn and howling one is cut off by the stupid scanner). and lastly we have my cat luna and me.
This was done in watercolors and ink.
I can’t wait to see the look on my art teacher’s face XD

I looks wonderful, I love the imagery, especially the Unicorn and Dragon - HEY! You're cat Luna looks like my Mr. Kittyman. Black Cat/Green Eyes. He's so cute, and so is your kitty too!
Are you brown haired-greeneyed like Sarah Williams? If so, oh you so lucky! My mom is green-eyed and dark brown haired too - as well as my brother, David. Which by the way - LOVE BOWIE as Ziggy in the Kabuki theatrical makeup. It's so very kickassica!

I love her, she's my baby! it was odd, she looks almost identical to my previous kitty Bear (god bless her soul!), except for the white heart-shaped dot on luna's chest. Even weirder is that soon after getting her from the humane society, i read Edgar Allen Poe's the black cat. If you know the story, you know the sheer irony.(i didn't kill either kitty of course! but you get my drift)
my eyes are a brownish green lol the stupid paint wouldn't take the brown over the green for some reason. My hair is light brown lol.
lol thank you! he was one of the funnest things to draw and paint in this one! (and also one of the more nerve-wracking parts to paint. wanted color in his face, but i didn't want too much to preserve the white paint, ya know?)

nope! i used the images of zig that float around my head lol and everything else was just...well, me. lol

thank you! The assignment was to make a self portrait that "shows how you want to be seen, or maybe not seen". Last year I felt too pressured by what I wanted people to think and what others said i should do with it, and it ended up looking terrible. With this one I drew whatever the hell I wanted, regardless of what others thought. I felt more freedom while doing it and thus had tons more fun.
Watercolors are one of my favorite tools to use for the fact that I can do almost anything with them. They always look great with ink and can be painted on virtually any type of paper
