Hera proudly and often lets her mother know that she is the only one whom the young she-wolf respects to a godly degree. When Hera looks at her mother she feels blinded by her wisdom and grace, wishing with every fiber of her being to be just as strong and wise as she believes Dahlia is. The pedestal she’s put her mother on has only grown following the event of her father’s cheating and subsequent abandonment of the family, as she was incredibly awed by her mother only seeming to gather strength from the event. When they get few moments to relax Hera reflects on her most memorable conversation with Dahlia, in which the mother expressed that “My aspiration in life is to be happy.”

hope the title and the quote sound familiar! They are both adapted from one of my favorite songs ‘Pretty Hurts’ by B! Parts of it just seriously vibe with me in terms of Dahlia’s life and way of thinking! But it’s also accurate to Hera in some ways so why not use it in a piece featuring them both!
