Rust dragons, huge dragons wielding rusted iron masks instead of faces. Their skin is thick and bark like and their voices are like screeching metal.They have no feelings, emotions or motivations and the only thing they know is what the world have taught them; destruction.

I've always wondered if there was any mass produced "standard gear" or if they all where different.

Basic rule of thumb when designing Gears is two-parts RPG fantasy, one-part folklore, and one-part anthropomorphic (human-like) to some degree...and of course a heaping helping of HARD ROCK METAL!!
I'd say Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy, and the servants from GG2 Overture are a good resource to look at.
If you need more overture Servant pics, I can see what I can do.
