Yes, I agree. I draw from life. She was wearing a red-purple traditional Indonesian dress. In the other one she was wearing a strong yellow t-shirt that I did not want on my drawing

You should never say that! To me this means more than ten years of intensive studie, but also inspiration and dedication. At least 90% of my work goes into the dustbin.

I don't know much about drawing and painting portraits and maybe it's the red and warm tones you used but this woman looks like a woman with passion. In my mind she could give her kids a good speech and they'd all be frightend for a moment but at the same time knew how she wasn't *really* mad at them and that whatever happened she would always be there for them. Her eyes are very kind, her lips have a certain trait of irony and sarcasm - she actually reminds me of my grandma (in character, at least) and I love my grandma very much
