EDIT: Wasn't a fan of the random orange glow, so I took it off. Then you can see the lighting I actually did on the lion's face.Drat... forgot his face scar again. Ah well.
Decided to go for a more sketchy kind of drawing with experimental shading and light. I like this a lot more than line-arting it.
Anyway, this is a friend of mine's character Ryukotsusei, who, in our story, is a reborn Guardian. However, his purity is questioned upon a darker side of him, to which he has no control over.
This type of drawing was pretty fun to do, and I learned a thing or two about light sources on an object. Quite fun. However I should practice on backgrounds... for I just BS'ed one.

I think you told me before that he's a really depressed character and he's always sad, and his facial expression speaks loudly. Like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders. D:

And he pretty much does have the weight of the world on his shoulders, since in my friend and I's RP he was reborn with the soul of a great Guardian and has to take on this job, but he can't do it with whatever curse was also placed inside of him. So in a way, my character Siofra has to somehow find a way to reawaken that Guardian before his other side kills her.
Pffffft, it's so complicated. xD
