Actually, this scene wouldn't need to be an AU to work. The modern concept of a photobooth has been around since 1923, and since Republic City is apparently at a 1920s American tech level it'd be fairly easy to have a photobooth in the city. Still, props to the Krew for being more well behaved than two of the adults in [url=[link] -- spilling out into the fairgrounds in a lover's embrace, shameful.

It would still be an AU because in the 1920s there were no colored photographs, were there?

Actually, color photographs have been around for almost as long as photographs themselves. Since the mid-1800s, in fact. It wasn't as advanced as the photography we have today, but by 1910 there were some truly great photos being developed. Sergey Mikhaylovich Prokudin-Gorsky was a major pioneer in this field.

So they have! However I should have specified the lack of colored photo booth photographs, and if there are, I doubt they're as good as recent quality which would still qualify this as an AU, actually.
Needless to say, though, the point of the AU isn't the photo booth.

I was actually planning on a piece with the 4 of them together but not photobooth-like, just haven't gotten around to doing it because so many ideas are swimming around in my head ;_;
