It seemed to Pellinor that the gods saved his life just because they liked watching him suffer. As a hedge wizard (and not a particularly good one at that), most of his time after the Helgen debacle had been spent running away, healing his fragile body and taking potshots at his enemies whenever he finally regained enough magicka for a single firebolt. Once an aspiring illusionist, he quickly switched gears to Conjuration when it became obvious that he needed minions to hide behind. Even after being hailed as the mighty Dragonborn, his pilgrimage to High Hrothgar was rudely interrupted when every single guard in Ivarstead tried to kill him. Turned out he'd incurred a 40-septim bounty without realizing it, which meant he had to sneak into Riften to turn himself in just to continue on his quest to save the world.

Well, congratulations, Skyrim. You finally killed him. Tired of being the universe's punching bag, Pellinor allied himself with the Volkihar and joined the ranks of the undead. With his new powers as a vampire lord, the world's worst mage now has a chance to be the world's greatest monster. One thing is certain: he will never be a victim again.

I've mentioned before that my PC can't really run Skyrim: Special Edition. So I finally broke down and bought it on my PS4. That console got the short end of the stick when it comes to mods, but honestly, I use those more for making comics than I do actually playing the game. A new start deserves a new hero, so now I've got Pellinor: a beautiful representation of everything Shelob is not. I've never really been good at playing a mage in Skyrim, so my progress has been slow, but gosh darn it if I'm not having a blast.

Making two posts in the same day is probably a sign that I'm bored, but what the heck? It's almost Christmas.
