Vermont is one of the Northeastern States in the USA with rolling hills and small dairy farms. It is a favorite place for many skiers, snowmobiles, and hikers in the winter. I lived near by in Troy, N.Y. and often drove to Vermont for the seanic experience in the Fall of the year when the leaves turn many beautiful colors. This painting was not based upon a source image, rather I created it from my memory of what the place is like in the winter. A Digital painting created using Corel Painter software on a computer attached to a graphic pad with a stylus pen. For the most part I like the way that it came out. I had trouble with the rabbits in the lower right hand corner and I'm still not satisfied with them. Maybe I'll go back and work on them again in the future. But for now I'm moving on.
